Hire Barber Surgeons Hall

Barber Surgeons’ Hall has been the home of the Worshipful Company of Barbers since 1430 although the Company can trace it roots to 1308. The Hall is a wonderfully peaceful venue, tucked away from the bustle of the City in the private and tranquil Monkwell Square.

Although a modern building, Barber Surgeons’ Hall is steeped in history and is the home to a range of magnificent paintings including the famous portrait of Henry VIII by Hans Holbein. The Great Hall, in which the painting hangs, is a spacious and gracious room which is flooded with natural daylight and opens onto an outdoor terrace: it is ideal for conferences, dinners or receptions.

The adjoining Reception Room is predominantly used for pre-lunch or dinner receptions but can be used as a smaller, more intimate dining area. In addition there are two smaller rooms which are ideal for breakout areas or for use by VIPs.
